Company responds to mutiple brush fires

On Monday April 6, CFC units and an engine from Station 8 were dispatched to Highland Road for the reported compost pile fire.  Engines 2, 5 and the Deputy arrived to find a flower bed on fire with minimal extension.  The response was held to CFC units, with our units going available a short time later.

Later in the day, Engine 5 was dispatched to assist Lancaster County Station 52 on a woods fire in Sadsbury Township.  Engine 5 arrived on scene sending the crew to work, while the engine shuttled water from the fill site to multiple different dump sites in order to provide water for the crews fighting the woods fire. 

While E-5 was on the woods assignment, CFC was alerted for a brush fire in Londonderry, units arrived to find another flower bed fire.  Units went available a short time later.

On Saturday April 11, CFC units along with a brush truck from Lanco 52 were dispatched to Lenover Road in Highland Township for a reported woods fire.  E-2 went enroute, as E-2 was leaving the station, a header could be seen indicating a working fire.  At that point, a second brush truck and tanker were added.  Crews arrived to find approximately 1 acre of woods on fire. 

Engines 2 and 5, the utility and QRS all made the response on the woods assignment.

Brush 52, 8, and 35-3, Tac 44 and 8, ATV 44, Tanker 8, and Lanco Tanker 43 all assisted on this call.

Bart Township Fire Company Engine 51-1 stood-by at our station to cover our first due while CFC units were committed to this assignment.

On Sunday April 12, CFC units along with a brush truck from Station 21 were dispatched to Highpoint Road in West Fallowfield for a brush fire.  E-2 went enroute and arrived to find a 100 x 100 area of woods and brush on fire.  A tanker an engine from Station 21 were added to the assignment. 

As crews were back at the station wrapping up from the brush fire, another brush fire was dispatched in West Fallowfield this assignment brought CFC units and a brush truck from Lanco 52.  E-2, E-5, and the utility arrived to find a fifty foot section of fence and brush on fire.  The assignment was held to CFC units.

On Monday April 13, CFC units and a brush truck from Lanco 52 were dispatched to Friendship Church Road in Highland for a reported brush fire.  E-2, E-5, and the deputy arrived to find approximately 1/4 acre of corn field on fire.  The assignment was held to CFC units.
