Sunday, August 31, 2014

At 1815 the Avondale Fire Company along with multiple other mutual aid companies were alerted to the 300 block of Newark Road in New Garden Township.

Chief 23 arrived on scene confirming a working barn fire and requested the first alarm tanker task force.

At 1823 Engine 27-5 was alerted as part of the task force.

Engine 5 was the second arriving tanker from the task force and was immediately assigned to supply Tanker 19 and Ladder 25 on the "C" side of the fire building.

Engine 5 pumped it's load of water into the scene and then joined the tanker shuttle.

Water was shuttled from the Somerset Lake Complex on Buttonwood Road to the fire scene.

Engine 5 was released from the scene at 2104.
