Working Barn Fire - 200 Block of Troop Road

Sunday, September 29th 2013 at 1519 hours, the Cochranville Fire Company was alerted along with the Union Fire Company #1 of Oxford, the Bart Fire Company and an Ambulance from the Christiana Fire Company for a barn fire on the 200 block of Troop Road in West Fallowfield Township. Chief 21 arrived on scene at 1527 hours reporting a 50 x 100 barn with fire through the roof and requested the 1st alarm. This re-alerted those already dispatched and added Gap’s Rescue 42, Quarryville’s Truck 57, and SCCEMS Medic 94. A 1st alarm tanker task force was also requested shortly after. After the fire was fully extinguished, all units returned available by 2005 hours. Thank you to Gordonville Tanker 43 and Avondale Engine 23-2 for standing by at our station during this incident, helping us clean up after the fire and for responding to two automatic fire alarms during the clean up.
