RIT assignment to East Nottingham - Sunset Road

At 0300 the Cochranville Fire Company was alerted for the Rescue along with the Oxford, West Grove, Rising Sun Fire Companies, and Medic 94 for a dwelling reported to be fully involved on Sunset Road in East Nottingham Township. The Rescue responded with a crew of six. Upon arrival, the rescue stage on the hard road with the remainder of the apparatus. The crew met up with Utility 21 at which time all the equipment was loaded in the Utility and the crew was transported to the fire ground. Our crew split and performed a walk around of the fire building. Several obstacles were identified and the crew discussed the hazards and plan if the RIT would need to be mobilized. Throughout the incident our crew continued to perform walk arounds to monitor the building and identify where crews were working in and around the building. Once the fire was placed under control and the Fire Marshall's gave the go ahead, Ladder 21 placed the ladder pipe in service for overhaul. The RIT team was then released, our crew again met up with Utility 21, the equipment was loaded and and transported from the fire ground back to the Rescue. The Rescue was back in station at 0527.
