Annual Fire Prevention - Octorara Area Schools

On October 3, 2012 members from the Cochranville, Atglen, Parkesburg, Pomeroy, Westwood, Christiana and Bart fire companies, along with Christiana Community Ambulance went to the Octorara Primary Learning Center and Octorara Elementary Schools for fire prevention day. Crews from all of the companies went to both schools and talked to students about fire prevention topics such as kitchen safety, having an escape plan, and stop, drop, and roll. Due to the poor weather conditions crews went to each classroom and talked to the children in large groups. The day wrapped up around 10:30 after talking to over 900 students. Thank you to all that attended this event.
