Fire at - French Creek State Park

Friday, April 13th, 2012, Cochranville Fire Company’s Engine 27-5 left early in the morning to assist with the fire at French Creek State Park.
This fire started on Monday, April 9th in Union Township, Berks County and due to weather conditions continued to spread throughout the week through parts of Chester County. Over 700 acres had been involved in the fire and many homes had to be evacuated.
Engine 27-5, Avondale Tanker 23 and the Union Fire Company #1 of Oxford’s Engine 21-2 worked together to provide water for this incident.
Engine 27-5 was on scene for 12 hours and dumped one load of water. (3,000 gallons)
