Woods Fire - Upper Valley Road, Sadsbury Township

Wednesday, April 4th, 2012, at 1251 hours, the Cochranville Fire Company was alerted for Engine 27-5 to respond to the 30 block of Upper Valley Road in Sadsbury Township, Lancaster County for a woods fire.  This was a call covering Christiana Fire Company Station 5-2, while them and many other units were already working to extinguish a building fire in the area.

Engine 27-5 responded with a crew of four at 1256 hours.

 

Also dispatched to the scene from Chester County was Pomeroy Brush 29, Westwood Engine 44-5, Oxford Brush 21, and Wagontown’s Brush 35-1 and 35-2.  

 

Quarryville Fire Company’s Brush 5-7-5 was the first unit to arrive on scene.  Followed by Engine 27-5 at 1307.  

 

Crews worked together to extinguish the woods fire.  

 

Engine 27-5 returned available at 1444 hours.
