Crane Fire - Route 41 North of Friendship Church Road

On the morning of February 17th, Station 27, Station 28 Ambulance and Medic 94 were alert at 07:21 to respond to Route 41 north of Friendship Church road for a farm equipment fire with a burn victim.

Engine 27-2 responded at 07:27 with a crew of five, followed by Engine 27-5 at 07:28 and Rescue 27 at 07:30.

Chester County dispatch advised it was a crane on fire at the construction site on Route 41.

Engine 27-2 arrived on scene at 07:30 and assumed Route 41 Command. 

The Bulk of the fire had been extinguished by construction workers on scene. Engine 27-2's crew deployed a hand line and tools to extinguish the remaining fire and assist the burn victim. Rescue 27's crew cleaned up hazards that had leaked from the crane.

Ambulance 28 and Medic 94 transported one to Crozer Chester Medical Center.

All 27 units returned available by 07:58.
