Trailer Fire - 700 Block of Ewing Road

Monday, January 23rd, 2012 at 1118 hours, the West Grove Fire Companies, Cochranville Fire Company and Union Fire Company #1 of Oxford for an engine were alerted for trailer fire on the 700 block of Ewing Road in Penn Township.  

Engine 27-2 responded with a crew of four at 1126 hours.  

At 1127, Assistant 22 arrived on scene with a 20 foot trailer well off with an exposure to a dwelling.  He then assumed “Ewing Road Command.”

Engine 27-5 responded at 1131 hours.

The Chester County HazMat team was notified to respond to this scene due to chemicals that were in the trailer.

Engine 27-2 arrived on scene at 1135 hours.

Engine 27-2’s crew assisted the crew from West Grove with extinguishing the fire with an 1 3/4 hand line.

The fire was placed under control at 1140 hours.

All 27 units returned available at 1221 hours.
