Auto Accident in Highland Township - Route 10 and Highland Road

Thursday, July 7th, 2011 at 1121 hours, the Cochranville Fire Company was alerted for Rescue 27 to assist the Parkesburg Fire Company and Medic 93 on an auto accident reported with entrapment on Route 10 in the area of Highland Road in Highland Township. Rescue 27 responded with four at 1127 hours followed by Engine 27-1 at 1129. Rescue 28 arrived on scene to find a two vehicle accident with multiple patients injured. One of the vehicles had to be stabilized with cribbing and have the driver’s side door removed to get the patient out safely. All fire company personnel assisted with patient care. A total of six patients had to be transported. Rescue 27 and Engine 27-1 returned available by 1230. Units: Rescue 27 and Engine 27-1
