Working Garage Fire in West Fallowfield - 100 block of Lantz Road

Saturday, January 22nd, 2011 at 1548 hours, the Atglen and Cochranville Fire Companies and an ambulance from Christiana Community Ambulance were alerted for a garage fire on the 100 block of Lantz Road in West Fallowfield Township. Chief Winters from the Atglen Fire Company arrived on scene at 1555 with a garage well off. Engine 27-2 responded at 1556, Engine 27-5 at 1557, Engine 27-1 and Rescue 27 at 1559 and QRS 27 at 1604. Chief Winters requested that tankers from the Christiana Fire Company and the West Grove Fire Company also be called to the scene. Initial crews worked on extinguishing the fire, while Engine 27-1 set up a fill site at the Octorara Intermediate School. At 1708 hours the fire was placed under control. All 27 units returned available by 1824 hours. Thank you to Tanker 5-1-1 for covering our station during this incident and helping us clean up after our return.
