Chicken House Fire - 100 Block King Road

Friday November 12th at 07:54am Firebox 2701 was dispatched for 136 King Road West Fallowfield Township. for the chicken house. With the time of day, the day time response was activated from the cad. Dispatching Stations 27 (Cochranville) 26 (Atglen) 28 (Parkesburg) full companies, Lancaster County 5-2 (Christiana) for a tanker and ambulance. Engine 27-2 arrived with Deputy Chief Drennen advising a 55ft. by 350ft. chicken house, bulk of the fire knocked down by the owner, had fire in the walls. In service opening up the walls to gain access to the fire. Deputy Chief will be establishing King Road command. Engine 27-5 arrived and supplied Eng. 27-2 with water; Eng 26-1 arrived and assisted with opening up the walls. Eng. 27-1 arrived and was directed to back in the driveway and prepare to lay out with the 5” hose; Crew to assist inside the bldg. Rescue 27 arrived and ordered to set up the air bank. Tower 28 arrived and staged on the hard road. Manpower and hand tools to the C side of the fire bldg. Tanker 26, and Tanker 5-2-2 staged on the hard road. Ambulance 5-2 staged with Rescue 27. At 08:33 King rd. command placed the fire under control, and Requesting the response of the fire marshals. Fire marshals Kilmer, and Weer arrived on the scene and began there investigation. 08:36 Command started releasing companies from the scene. Eng. 27-2 went available at 10:06am
