Fire Marshal Owens Retires - Chester County
Friday, October 29, 2010
Deputy Chief Fire Marshal Charlie Owens (FM101) retired from his part-time position with the Chester County Fire Marshal's Office on October 8, 2010 after 22 years of investigating fires and providing other Fire Marshal Services to the residents of Chester County. Charlie, and his partner in crime, Russ Kilmer (FM102), formed a team that was commonly and affectionately referred to as the "A Team" in southern Chester County. They worked almost every investigation together at fire scenes throughout the county. Individually, these gentleman are truly great people. Together, they formed a tandem that was always a welcomed site and second to none. We will miss his guidance and leadership on the fireground. The Officers and Members of the Cochranville Fire Company would like to thank Charlie for his years of dedicated service and wish him success in his new job. It has been an honor and privilege to work with you for so many years. You are true friend to our fire company. Thank you to past Chief Samuel N Terry of the Union Fire Company #1 of Oxford for the story.
