Crash Starts a Busy Day - Route 896 and Saw Mill Road

At 05:56 hours, the Cochranville Fire Company and an ambulance from the Oxford Fire Company were dispatched to an auto accident on Route 896 and Saw Mill Road in Upper Oxford Township. The additional report given stated that the vehicle was overturned, but the operator was out of the vehicle. Deputy 27 went en route at 06:01 followed by Engine 27-1 with a crew of five at 06:03. Rescue 27 responded at 06:06. Deputy 27 arrived on scene at 06:11, followed by Engine 27-1, and confirmed the report. Engine 27-1's crew began cleaning up the hazards on the roadway and assisted Ambulance 21-1 with loading the driver of the vehicle into the ambulance. Rescue 27 arrived on scene at 06:13 and handled traffic control. All 27 units stayed on scene until the car was moved from the roadway. At 06:41 all 27 units returned available.
