Trailer Home Fire - Shady Grove Mobile Home Park

On September 9th, 2010 at 18:28 the Cochranville, Atglen, Parkesburg, and Christiana Fire Companies and an Ambulance from the Westwood Fire Company were dispatched to the Shady Grove Mobile Home Park for a mobile home fire in West Fallowfield Township. Chief 27 went en route at 18:31 followed by Engine 27-2 at 18:35. Chief 27 arrived on scene at 18:32 and reported smoke showing. He then assumed "Rosewood Command." Engine 27-2 arrived at 18:37 following Engine 26-1. Engine 26-1's crew pulled an 1 3/4 line while Engine 27-2's crew went to work finding the fire under the trailer. Crews found the fire and were able to extinguish it quickly. Upon further investigation, wires under the trailer were found to be on fire. That fire was put out and the rest of the structure was checked out to make sure there was not anymore fire. All units except Engine 27-2 and Engine 26-1 were than released from the scene at 18:55. Engine 27-2 and Engine 26-1 stayed on scene until the fire marshalls arrived at 19:07. Command was terminated and both Engines returned available at 19:34.
