2 Alarm Barn Fire with Quarryville - 400 Block of May Post Office Road

On August 22, 2010 Engine 27-5 and Tanker 22 were alerted at 15:04 to assist Lancaster County Station 5-7 (Quarryville) on a barn fire on the 400 Block of Mount Pleasant Road in Eden Township. Engine 27-5 responded at 15:11 with a crew of six. Engine 27-5 was directed to stage on Springville Road. Upon arrival at 15:33, 27-5 was placed into the tanker line up and the crew was split up. Two members stayed with the engine and the rest of the crew went to the scene to assist with manpower operations. Once at the scene of the barn fire, crews assisted in breaking down handlines and other small tasks. Engine 27-5 was later released and returned in station at 17:16.
