Dwelling Fire with West Grove Fire Company - 400 Block of Jennersville Road

On July 31, 2010 at 13:38 hours the West Grove and Cochranville Fire Companies were alerted for a dwelling fire on the 400 Block of Jennersville Road in Penn Township. Chester County Fire Board advised responding units that the fire started in the mulch but extended to the house and that the caller was attempting to put it out. Deputy 22 arrived on scene with nothing showing. Engine 27-1 went en route at 13:43 and was the first engine on the scene at 13:50 followed by Engine 22 at 13:51. Engine 27-5 responded at 13:46 and Engine 27-2 responded at 13:50. Upon arrival Engine 27-1 and Engine 22 were given orders to take Thermal Imaging Cameras up to the house to check for any fire extension and heat. Crews found nothing inside or outside of the structure. After checking the house again, all 27 units returned available by 14:02
