Engine 27-2 Sees It's First Fire - 600 Block of Street Road

Just before 1600 hours on June 23rd, 2010, the Cochranville, West Grove, and Avondale fire companies were dispatched for a barn fire on the 600 block of Street Road in Londonderry Township. Deputy 27 arrived several minutes after dispatch and found an abandoned house under demolition being burned by the owner. The response was held to Cochranville units and an engine and tanker out of the West Grove Fire Company Station 22. Engine 27-2 arrived first and deployed two handlines to attack the fire. The reamining units supplied Engine 2 and provided manpower. The fire was extinquished in 15 minutes and everyone cleared the scene within an hour.
