Fire Prevention at the Octorara Schools - Octorara PLC and Elementary School
Wednesday, October 8, 2008
On Wednesday, October 8th, 2008 at 0800 hours, members of the Cochranville Fire Company took Engine 27-1, QRS 27 and the fire prevention trailer to the Octorara Primary Learning Center to meet up with members and apparatus from Parkesburg, Atglen and Lancaster County Christiana Fire Companies. The three companies were split between the Primary Learning Center and the Elementary School to spend the day teaching students about kitchen safety, how to stop drop and roll, what you need to know when you call 9-1-1, and so much more. Children from the Primary Learning Center were able to crawl through our smoke trailer and use a fire hose. It was a beautiful day outside and everyone had a great time. Thank you to the Octorara School District for allowing us to share this day with the students and for supplying us with lunch. We can’t wait to see you all again next year! Units: Engine 27-1, QRS 27 and Fire Prevention Trailer 27
