Motorcycle Accident in Londonderry Township - Route 41 and Route 796

On Thursday, May 6th, 2010, at 1744 hours, the Cochranville Fire Company was dispatched along with an ambulance from the West Grove Fire Company and Medic 94, to a motorcycle accident at Route 796 and Route 41 in Londonderry Township. Engine 27-1 arrived on the scene at 1754 followed by a call from an onscene medic to dispatch the helicopter. Engine 27-1's crew arrived and took over patient care from bystanders and assisted the medic onscene. Ambulance 22 arrived with Medic 94 arriving shortly after. Rescue 27's crew arrived and helped set up the landing zone for the helicopter and the loading of the critical patient. Rescue 27 was released while 27-1 crews stayed to complete paper work and help find idenification for the critical patient. Cochranville crews cleaned up the road way and returned available at 1844 hours.
