The Cochranville Fire Company mourns the loss of Charles (Chuck) M Harris Jr.

A lifelong public servant, Chuck spent his career working for the Chester County Department of Emergency Services as a dispatcher and then later as a shift supervisor until he retired.

Outside of work Chuck spent his life as a very involved and committed member of the Cochranville Fire Company. He held the office of Chief in1978, 79, 80, 82, 84, and 87. Chuck held the office of President from 2010-15.

Throughout his time as a member Chuck held nearly every elected position and was integral to many of the company’s fundraising efforts.

Chuck will be missed by all who met him. At the Cochranville Fire Company, we will sorely miss the even hand of judgement and wisdom that Chuck always displayed. He was there whenever someone needed advice and was a much-needed calming force when things got chaotic.

On Wednesday, October 20th 2021, Charles M Harris Jr lost his battle with cancer and was called home by the Lord.

Rest in Peace Chuck, we'll take it from here.
