Cochranville and Wagontown Cover Westwood During Their Carnival - 200 Block of Maple Avenue

Saturday, August 6th, 2011, Cochranville Fire Company's Engine 27-5 and the Wagontown Fire Company's Rescue were assigned to stand by at the first annual Westwood Fire Company Carnival. At 1747 hours, these units were alerted to respond to the 200 Block of Maple Avenue in Valley Township for an automatic fire alarm. Units responded at 1749 and arrived on scene at 1751 with nothing showing from the exterior. With no one home, crews had to gain entry from the back door. With no problems found within the residence, units cleared the scene at 1814. Units: Engine 27-5 Mutual Aid: Rescue 35
