Tanker Operations Training - Avondale Fire Company

Sunday, May 16th, 2010, members of the Cochranville Fire Company traveled in Engine 27-2 and Engine 27-5 to Avondale for tanker operation training.
The day began at the Avondale Fire Company (Station 23) with a short classroom discussion. That was followed by practical exercises at the Somerset Lake Community in Landenberg.
The practical exercises included demonstrating a “nurse tanker” operation, shuttling water, drafting water and port-a-tank operations.
The fire companies included in this training experience were: Avondale, West Grove, Oxford, Cochranville, Po-Mar-Lin and Longwood.
