Fire Prevention at the Octorara Schools - Octorara PLC and Elementary School
Wednesday, October 6, 2010

Wednesday, October 6th, 2010, the Cochranville Fire Company, along with the Parkesburg, Atglen, Pomeroy, Christiana and Gap Fire Companies traveled to the Octorara Primary Learning Center and Elementary School for their annual fire prevention day. The companies were divided up to cover both schools in order to teach the students about fire safety. Students were exposed to a wide variety of what fire and ambulance companies do when someone calls 911. They learned everything from stop, drop and roll to vehicle and bicycle safety to what to do when crawling through smoke. The companies were able to put their skills and knowledge together to make the day a success in learning and fun. The members of the Cochranville Fire Company would like to thank the Atglen Fire Company, Parkesburg Fire Company and Ambulance, Christiana Fire Company, Pomeroy Fire Company and Ambulance and the Gap Fire Company for coming out to assist us in making the day a success. Units: Engine 27-2, Rescue 27, QRS 27 and Fire Prevention Trailer 27 Mutual Aid: Atglen, Parkesburg, Pomeroy, Christiana and Gap
