Article 1 of our by laws states that; Any person of good character, being over the age of fourteen (14) years shall be eligible for election to membership. Applicants under the age of eighteen (18) years must have their parents or guardian execute a signed letter of their approval and permission which must accompany the application, along with working papers. The Cochranville Fire Company prefers you submit your application in person. This is due to the fact that we can provide information and discuss all of the tremendous opportunities ahead. Cochranville Fire Company members are present at the Firehouse every Monday night for our active crew nights from 7-9pm. Company meetings are held on the second Monday of each month starting at 8 pm. Or if you see us at the firehouse, feel free to stop in and inquire.
All training you receive is paid for by the company. Most training is conducted at the Chester County Fire Services or in-house. The Cochranville Fire Company typically trains every other Monday. We provide the opportunity to become a nationally certified Fire Fighter along with many other national and/or state certifications. Our goal is to provide our members with the knowledge and experience to provide our community with superior service.
The Cochranville Fire Company offers a life insurance policy to each of our eligible members, at no cost to them. Workers compensation benefits are available through West Fallowfield Township.
